Each of the children we work with is matched with a sponsor. Sponsored children receive high quality healthcare, education, mentorship, social work services as well as all of their physical needs met. To tell a child they have a sponsor is like telling someone they won the lottery… it truly changes their life!

You can sponsor a child as a group, family or an individual! In the past we've had sponsors pay sponsorship fees as a birthday present to someone or for the holidays. Some people pay monthly or quarterly. We are here to work with you no matter what it takes, so that these deserving children can thrive.

PRE SCHOOL: $2000 USD PER YEAR

Sponsor a child to attend Uru Community Pre School! Annual sponsorship covers their private school tuition fees, food, clothing, health insurance, mental health support, and social work services—for both the student and his/her family. Our preschool has four classes: toddlers, nursery, pre-k and kindergarten. Students are able to start with us as young as 6 months.

PRIMARY SCHOOL: $2000 USD PER YEAR

Sponsor a child to attend Uru Community Primary School! Annual sponsorship covers their private school tuition fees, food, clothing, health insurance, mental health support, and social work services—for both the student and his/her family. Primary school is seven years of schooling, from grade 1 to 7, starting around 6 years of age.

SECONDARY SCHOOL: $2,500 USD PER YEAR

Sponsor a child to attend our brand new Uru Community Primary School (UCSS)! All students at UCSS board full time, ensuring they have a safe, stable, and supportive environment where they can focus fully on learning and personal growth. Annual sponsorship covers their private school tuition fees, room and board, clothing, health insurance, mental health support, and social work services—for both the student and his/her family. Secondary school lasts four years, Form 1 to Form 4. It is equivalent to American 7th grade to 10th grade.

HIGH SCHOOL: $2,800 USD PER YEAR

Sponsor a child to attend advance level (A-Level) high schooling. While Neema doesn’t have these grades at our own facility, we have been sponsoring children for 15 years to attend high quality private high schools around the country. Similarly to secondary school, all high school students board full time at their respective school and come back to Neema HQ at their school holidays. Annual sponsorship covers their private school tuition fees, room and board, clothing, health insurance, mental health support, and social work services—for both the student and his/her family. High School lasts two years, Form 5 and Form 6. It is equivalent to American 11th and 12th grade

UNIVERSITY OR TECHNICAL COLLEGE $3,500- $5,000 USD PER YEAR

Sponsor a child to attend a vocational training college or their universities studies! Neema has students studying everything from carpentry to surgery, and earning bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees both in Tanzania and in abroad in India, China, Malaysia and Cyprus! Annual sponsorship covers their tuition fees, room and board, transportation to and from campus, clothing, health insurance, mental health support, and social work services—for both the student and his/her family. These tertiary studies usually last 3 to 4 years.

Here are some ideas on how to raise sponsorship money…

  • Host a bake sale

  • Organize a fun run

  • Provide a charity class (dance, art, music)

  • Hold a charity event (dinner, show)

  • For private schools: have a no uniform day for a small fee

  • Hold a car wash

  • Ask a local business to support your sponsored child

Sponsorship ranges from $2,000 to $5,000 a year depending on the age and educational level of the student.

Our goal is to follow each sponsored child all the way to university level. Sponsors are not committed to sponsorship for this whole time period, but are encouraged to continue their support. Sponsorship is renewed on a year-by-year basis.

Sponsors receive updates, pictures and letters throughout the year and all donations are tax deductible in the US and Canada.
